Emma
Emma Barrett leads Empire Collective and brings more than 30 years’ experience in graphic design and marketing. A Billy Blue School of Design graduate, Emma has worked with national and international clients across a wide range of sectors, delivering thoughtful, well-crafted design that supports real business outcomes.
Throughout her career, Emma has led creative teams and studios working across agriculture, tourism, corporate, retail, property, food, environment, not-for-profit and regulated industries. Her work spans brand development, campaign creative, publications and long-form documents, with particular strength in large report development for R&D organisations, where structure, accuracy and consistency are essential.
Emma is known for her practical, collaborative approach and her ability to manage complex projects from concept through to delivery. She works closely with clients to ensure design outcomes are purposeful, considered and aligned with long-term client goals.
Jarl
Jarl Line is Empire Collective’s resident photographer, with more than 30 years’ professional experience working across Australia and Europe. Originally from Norway, Jarl has built a diverse career capturing places, people and environments with a strong emphasis on authenticity and context.
Jarl’s work spans landscape, portrait, architectural, corporate and documentary photography, with experience across commercial, cultural and industry settings, and has worked and exhibited in Europe and Australia.
Jarl is particularly experienced in location-based photography and visual storytelling, producing imagery that supports brand, communication and editorial outcomes across print and digital platforms.
